According to Collected Rhymes (Jíyùn) and Rhyme Book (Yùnhuì), pronounced yáng zhū qiè. According to Correct Rhyme (Zhèngyùn), pronounced yún jū qiè. All sound as yú. Shuowen Jiezi (Shuōwén Jiězì) states: An elongated form of speech. Erya (Ěryǎ), Explanation of Words (Shìgǔ) states: "I" or "me." Also, the fourth month is referred to as yúyuè. Also, jiēyú is a type of water caltrop. In Han Shu (Hàn Shū), Account of the Xiongnu (Xiōngnú Zhuàn): "The Chányú wore embroidered robes, with a lined brocade coverlet and one each of bǐyú." The commentary states: "Bǐyú is a hair ornament." Also, a surname. Descended from Yóuyú. Also, according to Collected Rhymes (Jíyùn), pronounced xiáng yú qiè, sound as xú. Yúwú is a river name in Shuòfāng. Also, according to Collected Rhymes (Jíyùn), pronounced tóng dū qiè, sound as tú. In Records of the Grand Historian (Shǐjì), Táoyú is a Xiongnu mountain name. Also, pronounced yú zhē qiè, sound as xié. Bāoyú is a place name in Shu (Sichuan). Also written as Bāoxié. Han Yang Jue (Hàn Yáng Jué) records the name Bāoxié as Bāoyú. The commentary states: "The character is synonymous with yú (meaning 'remainder')." Correction note: Collected Rhymes (Jíyùn) gives "yáng rú qiè", Rhyme Book (Yùnhuì) gives "yáng zhū qiè". It is respectfully noted that the character 余 in Collected Rhymes (Jíyùn) is pronounced yáng zhū qiè, not yáng rú qiè. The three characters yáng rú qiè are to be omitted.
