Rites of Zhou (Zhouli), Section on the Crown Prince of King Wen: When the Son of Heaven observes the school, he beats the drum at early dawn to summon the masses. Commentary: Early and dim, beating the drum to call everyone together. Commentary: Dawn signifies light.
