Zhuru refers to a person of short stature.

Commentary: Zhuru refers to short people.
Also, Lingzhu is the name of an ancient musician.
Furthermore, the short posts on a roof beam are also called zhuru.
Commentary on the Positions in the Hall of Distinction (Mingtang Wei) section of the Book of Rites: The short posts on the beams are decorated with colorful paintings. It is common but incorrect to write this in the variant form zhunru.
