Zhang Heng, Rhapsody on the Eastern Metropolis (Dongjing Fu): In the east, there are grand pools with clear yu.
Commentary: Yu refers to a structure built over a pool where birds can roost and be captured upon entering.
Also a place name.
Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Tables of the Marquises from the Jianyuan Era: Yu-er is located on the border of Wu and Yue; it is currently a township.
Textual research: In Zhang Heng, Rhapsody on the Eastern Metropolis (Dongjing Fu), the text originally read gong-chi; following the original text, this has been corrected to hong-chi.
In Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Tables of the Marquises from the Jianyuan Era, Suoyin Commentary: The text originally read Yu-kuang on the border of Wu and Yue. Following the original book, the two characters yi-lai have been added after Jianyuan. The words Suoyin have been omitted, and Yu-kuang has been corrected to Yu-er.
