Also, in the Minor Odes (Xiaoya): Having no leisure to sit and rest.
Also means urgent or hurried.
Book of Documents (Shujing), Against Luxurious Ease (Wuyi): Busy to the point of having no leisure to eat.
Commentary: Huang refers to the state of the mind, while xia refers to the state of affairs. When tasks are numerous, it is called having no leisure; when the mind is diligent, it is called having no leisure.
Also used interchangeably with the character huang.
Book of Documents (Shujing), Against Luxurious Ease (Wuyi): Do not say, today let us enjoy ourselves fully.
Zuo Tradition (Zuozhuan), Seventh Year of Duke Zhao: The state is without leisure.
