Zuo Zhuan (Zuo Commentary on the Spring and Autumn Annals): Dismembering the corpse to use the bones for cooking.
Zhuangzi (Zhuangzi): The entire skeletal structure, the nine orifices, and the six internal organs all exist complete within the body.
Also, in the chapter De Chong Fu: Merely treating the body as a temporary dwelling for the six skeletal parts.
Shiwen (Explanation of the Text): Refers to the two hands, two feet, the head, and the torso.
