Guangyun and Yunhui: Pronounced shi.
Erya (Erya), Explanation of Palaces: The base of a door is called shi. Note: Erya uses the alternative form. Commentary: This refers to the pivot of a door. See the detailed note for that character. Also, the edge of a hall is called shi.
Book of Documents (Shangshu), Charge to Duke of Bi: Four men wearing patterned caps and holding spears, standing on either side of the two stairs and the threshold.
Also refers to a stone step or threshold.
Zhang Heng, Western Capital Rhapsody (Xijing fu): Golden thresholds and jade stairs.

Textual research: In the phrase hall curtain, the character shi has been corrected to hall edge in accordance with the Kong Anguo commentary on the Book of Documents.
