Collection of Rhymes (Jiyun): The name of a type of bamboo.
Record of Wu (Wulu): In the Ri’nan region, there is a bamboo called the li bamboo, which is hard and sharp, and can be whittled into spears.
Also refers to the bili (a double-reed woodwind instrument).
Sea of Texts (Pianhai): Constructed with a bamboo tube body and a reed mouthpiece; its shape resembles the hu-jia, but it has nine holes. It mimics the angular tone, and its sound is mournful and piercing. Also known as the sad li, or the jia-pipe. Sometimes also written in a variant form (li).
