Pronounced luan.
As defined in the Shuowen Jiezi (Shuowen): A small and sharp mountain.
As defined in the Liushu Gu (Six Writings Explained): A rounded mountain peak.
As cited in the Elegies of Chu (Chucí), Nine Chapters: I climb the stone peak to gaze into the distance.
Also, a mountain that is winding and continuous is called a luan.
As cited in the poem by Xu Fei regarding the climbing of Langya City: The robes and sashes are all like cliff-bound peaks.
According to the Zhengzitong (Correction of Characters): It also follows the yan rhyme, pronounced lian. It cites the poem by Su Shi thanking Ouyang Huifu for the gift of a zither pillow: I cherish the elder of Ruyin, his eyebrows and forehead are as elegant as a spring peak. Note: Su Shi placed it in the han rhyme, which is an error.
