Book of Southern Capital (Nandu Fu) by Zhang Heng: Among its grasses are the basket-grass, the ramie, the fan-grass, and the sedge.
Servant Contract (Tong Yue) by Wang Bao: Collect much rush and ramie to increase the production of ropes and cords.
Compendium of Materia Medica (Bencao): Take the roots of the ramie, mix them with rice flour to make cakes to ward off hunger; the taste is sweet and delicious.
Also, Zhulu is the name of a mountain.
Spring and Autumn of Wu and Yue (Wuyue Chunqiu): The girl from Zhulu Mountain who sold firewood was named Xi Shi Zheng Dan.
