Erga (Erya): Explaining Plants, states: Changchu is known as diaoyi. Note: Today it is called yangtao (sheep peach). Guangyun: Sometimes also called guitao (ghost peach), with leaves resembling a peach and white flowers. Commentary on the Book of Odes (Shijing): The nature of the diaoyi is such that when it first grows, it is upright and straight, but when it becomes fully grown, its branches sway gracefully and are flexible and supple; it does not recklessly climb or twine around other plants or trees.
