Pronounced wu. Feiwu is the wild yam. According to the Commentary on the Book of Odes (Shijing) by Lu Ji, the plant fei is known as wu in the Youzhou region. Detailed explanation can be found in the entry for the character fei.
Also, zhawu, meaning fine and dense. In the Upper Forest Rhapsody (Shanglin Fu) by Sima Xiangru: dense and fine is zhawu.
Pronounced hu. In the chapter Perfect Joy (Zhile) from the Book of Master Zhuang (Zhuangzi): hazy and indistinct, not knowing from whence it arises. In the chapter Rectification of Names (Zhengming) from the Book of Master Xun (Xunzi): referring to the confused words of ignorant people, hazy and coarse.
Textual research: In the Upper Forest Rhapsody (Shanglin Fu) by Sima Xiangru, the original text reads zhiwu. According to the original source, zhiwu has been corrected to zhawu.
