Also, a handsome man is called shu.
Yongfeng: That handsome man.
Also refers to being gentle, compliant, and timid.
Zhuangzi, Xu Wugui: The appearance of being self-satisfied.
Commentary: Warm tone, similar to xuan. Commonly and incorrectly written as the variant form (mei).
Also refers to adorning or embellishing.
Yangzi, Taijing: Embellishing the forehead and moistening the beard does not look beautiful.
Commentary: To not cultivate one's inner character but only adorn one's outward appearance is like a beautiful person caught in the rain, who no longer appears beautiful.
