Jade Chapters (Yu pian) identifies it as dragonfly. See the entry for dragonfly for details. Also refers to the larva of the mason wasp (mingling). Book of Odes (Shijing), Lesser Odes of the Kingdom (Xiao ya): The larva of the mason wasp has offspring, the mason wasp carries them away. Commentary states: The larva of the mason wasp is a mulberry worm. Sub-commentary states: Popularly called a mulberry crawler, also known as the Rong woman. Lu Ji states: It resembles a measuring worm; its color is green and it is small and slender, sometimes found upon weeds.
