According to Wide Rhymes (Guangyun), pronounced zhu (rising tone). According to Collected Rhymes (Jiyun) and Rhyme Anthology (Yunhui), pronounced zhu (rising tone).
According to Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen), a type of hemp. The fine variety is called quan, and the coarse variety is called zhu.
