In the Ancient Text Commentary on the Book of Documents (Shujing), it is written as clearly raise the lowly. Note that in the Canon of Yao chapter of the Book of Documents (Shujing), it is now written as yang. Also, the Biography of Imperial Favorites in the Book of Song (Songshu) discusses clearly raising those in obscurity and low positions.
