Guangyun (Dictionary of Sounds and Rhymes) states the creature resembles a deer but its horns point forward. When it enters a forest, its horns become caught, so it remains in shallow grass. If pursued into a forest, it can be captured. From Records of Unusual Things (Yiwu Zhi).
