In Tang Rhyme (Tangyun) and Jiyun (Jiyun): Sound "yī".
According to Explanation of Characters (Shuowen Jiezi), it refers to the Yishi Slope in Shangdang.
The Book of Han (Qian Han Shu), Treatise on Geography, records it as Yishi County in Shangdang Commandery.
Also interchangeable with the character qī. In Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Biography of Sima Xiangru, it is used in the phrase "qī'er bu'an" (uneven and unsettled).
Also in Jiyun: Sound "yī". The meaning is the same.
Also in Jiyun: Sound "yǐ". It means to lean, to depend on.
Also in Guangyun (Guangyun) and Jiyun: Sound "yì". Guangyun records it as Yishi County.
