Also, Illustration and Praise of Strange Fish (Yiyutuzan): A fish that can swallow a boat is named ling. Its back and belly have spines like triangular water caltrops; fishermen fear it, and nets cannot catch it. One account states that the skin of the ling carp is called pangolin.
