In the Poem Presented to Xu Gan by Cao Zhi, it is noted: A flowing gust of wind buffets the lattice window. It also refers to the eaves of a house. According to the Guangya, the eave lattice is the same as the roof beam. In the Rhapsody on Mount Tiantai by Sun Chuo, it is noted: Rosy clouds, in elegant patterns, flank the latticework.
