According to the Dialects (Fangyan) by Yang Xiong, in the regions of Qin and Jin, a grave is called lang. Also, kuanglang refers to the appearance of a vast, distant wilderness. In the Zhuangzi, section Response to Emperors and Kings (Ying diwang), it is written: to wander in the land of nothingness and to dwell in the wilderness of the vast.
