Commentary: The Materia Medica (Bencao) states: The shape of the kui is like a sea clam, being both round and thick, with longitudinal and transverse patterns on the outer shell; this is what is known today as the han.
Guo Pu, River Rhapsody (Jiang Fu): A massive han fills a carriage.
Commentary: The diameter of the han is four feet, and its back has patterns resembling roof tiles.
