Ancient text. According to Tang Rhymes (Tangyun) and Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), the pronunciation is kui. According to Jade Chapters (Yupian), it is a large type of smartweed. According to Er'ya: Explaining Plants (Er'ya Shicao), it is the red smartweed, and the large variety is called kui. Also, according to Broad Compendium (Boya), it is mallow. Also, according to Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen), it is the seeds of the shepherd's purse. Also, it refers to horse smartweed, which resembles smartweed but is larger. According to Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), it is also written in a variant form. Also, according to Rhyme Collection (Yunhui), pronounced hui. A personal name. According to the Yao Question chapter of the Xunzi: The words of Zhonghui are within it. The commentary notes that Zhonghui is the same as Zhonghui.
