Broad Rhymes (Guangyun): A covering at the back of a carriage.
Book of Odes (Shijing), Lesser Odes (Xiaoya): A bamboo-mat covering and a fish-skin quiver.
Approaching Elegance (Erya), Explaining Implements (Shiqi): The leather covering at the front of a carriage is called a hén, and at the back is called a fú.
Commentary (Shu): Fú is the name for the rear door of a carriage.
Also in Collected Rhymes (Jiyun): Pronounced fú. An arrow. One source says a hairpin is called a fú.
Also in Collected Rhymes (Jiyun): Pronounced fèi. To shave an arrow so that it gradually becomes thin.
