Xu Collection, Upper Volume Radical: Metal (jīn) Zi Kangxi stroke count: 16 Page 1310, Entry 12 Pronounced zi. Originally written as a variant form (zi). Six zhu in weight. Commentary on the Wealth of Nations chapter of the Xunzi (Xunzi) states: eight liang equals one zi. The Zhengzitong states: ancient people spoke of comparing zi and zhu, meaning something very slight or minor. The commentary on the Xunzi mistakenly claims that eight liang equals one zi. The Zhengyun dictionary cites the Xunzi commentary for the character zi. The Yunhui dictionary, in its entry for the character zhu, states that eight zhu equals one zi. This is incorrect. The definition according to the Shuowen Jiezi (Shuowen) is the correct one. Also, in the Xu Wugui chapter of the Zhuangzi (Zhuangzi): without followers winging their way to the Zi altar palace. Commentary: Zi altar is the name of an altar.
