In the Annals of Master Lu (Lüshi Chunqiu), section Examining the Present (Chajin pian): The people of Jing wished to raid Song, and sent men to mark the Yong River first. Also, according to Collected Rhymes (Jiyun) and Correct Rhymes (Zhengyun), pronounced yong (falling tone). Same as the variant form yong. A river flowing out from the Yellow River is called yong.
