Qu Yuan, Encountering Sorrow (Lisao): I have already cultivated nine wan of orchids, and planted a hundred mu of fragrant herbs.
Commentary: Twelve mu make one wan.
Zuo Si, Rhapsody on the Capital of Wei (Weidu fu): To the right are the sparse gardens and winding ponds, with wan near the high halls.
Commentary: Ban Gu stated: A wan is thirty acres.
