It means a neighboring house. Sometimes also written as "". "Yunhui" writes it as "廈". "Jianyun" considers the inclusion of the "Cliff" radical to be incorrect. 廈 "Tangyun" provides the pronunciation as "hú yǎ qiè." "Jiyun," "Yunhui," and "Zhengyun" provide the pronunciation as "hài yǎ qiè." The pronunciation is the same as "xià." "Shuowen Jiezi" explains it as: a house.
