Guangyun: Pronounced xi. Jiyun, Yunhui, Zhengyun: Pronounced xi.
Guangya: A narrow path.
Shiming: A path used for walking is called a xi. Xi means to tether. When one walks quickly, one uses these paths, thus one is tethered back to the proper road.
Zuo Zhuan: To lead an ox through a path in someone's field. Commentary: It means a narrow path.
Mencius: Between the narrow paths of the mountain trails.
Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji): Peach and plum trees do not speak, yet paths form naturally beneath them.
Also used interchangeably with xi.
Book of Rites (Liji): Block the mountain paths.
Jiyun: Also written as a variant form.
Jiyun: Pronounced li. Same as xi. To wait.
