According to the Explaining Graphs and Analyzing Characters (Shuowen Jiezi), the river flows from Dangqu in Ba Commandery, merging into the Yangtze River to the southwest. Also a county name. According to the Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), troops were sent to surround the regions of Liu and Qian in the State of Chu. The commentary notes that Qian is located to the southwest of Liu County in Lujiang. Also pronounced xun. Also pronounced qin. Also pronounced cen.
