Verification: In Guanzi (Guǎnzi), "Duties of a Disciple", it states: "Holds a candle in the left hand, holds jì in the right hand." The note explains that jì is used as yàn. It is respectfully noted that according to the original text, "holds a candle in the left hand" should be corrected to "holds a candle in the right hand", and "holds jì in the right hand" should be corrected to "straightens the comb (zhì) in the left hand". The statement "jì is used as yàn" is not an annotation from Guanzi (Guǎnzi), but is cited in the notes of the Book of Rites (Lǐjì), "Tangong" chapter, as jì.
