Guangyun (Guangyun): Pronounced ji. Jiyun (Jiyun), Yunhui (Yunhui), and Zhengyun (Zhengyun): Pronounced ji. Shuo Wen Jie Zi (Shuowen): Means to dislike or resent. Commentary on Qu Yuan's Encountering Sorrow (Lisao): Resenting beauty is called envy, resenting virtue is called jealousy. Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Biography of Empress Dowager and Relatives: Master Chu says: The traditions state: When a woman is either beautiful or ugly, once she enters the household she will be envied; when a man is either virtuous or unworthy, once he enters the court he will be looked upon with jealousy. Kang Cangzi (Kangcangzi), Chapter on Using the Way: Those who share the same path love one another; those who share the same skills are jealous of one another.
