According to the Extensive Rhymes (Guangyun), pronounced biao. Also according to the Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced biao. Biao-ju is a type of disease name. According to the Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold (Qianjin Fang), it is when spots suddenly appear within the flesh; the large ones are like beans, the small ones are like millet grains, and severe cases resemble plums or small prunes. It has a root, the pain radiates to the heart, and over time it develops surrounding blisters; this is called biao-ju. In the History of the Later Han (Houhan Shu), Biography of Xian, it is stated that the suffering in the Central Plains region is like a biao-ju on the chest and back. It is also used as a variant for piao. In the Book of Master Zhuang (Zhuangzi), Zeyang Chapter, it appears as piao-ju, scabies, and abscesses. Also, according to the Collected Rhymes (Jiyun), pronounced miao. The meaning is the same.
