History of the Former Han Dynasty (Qianhan shu), Treatise on Geography (Dili zhi): Zhi County. Commentary: Shigu says: Zhi is the same as the character zhi.
History of the Former Han Dynasty (Qianhan shu), Table of Princes and Marquises (Wangzi hou biao): Marquis of Zhijie, Xi. Commentary: Shigu says: Zhi is the same as the character hu.
Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Table of Marquises Since the Jianyuan Era (Jianyuan yilai houzhe nianbiao): Marquis of Zhinie, Yu-zhe. Commentary: Xu Guang says: Zhi is pronounced hu. Suoyin says: It is a county name. According to the table, it is located in Hedong; the Treatise on Geography also agrees. It is the same as the character hu.
