Jingchu Record (Jingchuji): Yang is also known as the jie-mu bird (knot-wood bird). Also, the purple mandarin duck is another name for the crested sheldrake. Also, the oriole is sometimes called the yellow yang.
Also refers to a type of roof tile. Su Shi poem: The tile plays with the cold toad, the yang reclines upon the moon.
