Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shanhaijing): In the valley of Mount Fu, a river flows from it, and within it there is much Gē jade. Commentary: Gē is the name of a jade. In the Commentary on the Classic of Waterways (Shuijingzhu), it is written as min jade. The Comprehensive Geography (Yitongzhi) cites the classic as writing it as diāo jade.
