The original form of the character. According to the Record of the Six Writings (Liushu Gu), it refers to the sudden gathering of air like a flame. In the Four Talismans chapter of the Guan Yinzi, it is written: My spirit suddenly arises and does not extinguish. In the Zhang Heng (Zhang Heng) Rhymed Essay on Thinking (Si Fu), it is written: Suddenly transforming, like a cicada shedding its shell. In the preface to the Song of Thinking of Returning (Si Gui Yin) by Shi Chong (Shi Chong), it is written: Suddenly I find myself constrained and lingering among the nine ranks.
