Shuowen Jiezi (Shuowen): A mistake or error.
Book of Documents (Shangshu): Do not make mistakes in the various judicial matters and with the various officials.
Commentary: Mistake means to err or lose one's way.
Book of Rites (Liji): If an envoy makes a mistake during a visit, the host ruler does not personally host him for a meal.
Annotation: Mistake refers to an error in ritual etiquette.
Book of Han (Hanshu): Why do you speak with such error?
Records of the Three Kingdoms (Sanguozhi): Yu was skilled in music; even after consuming three cups of wine, if there was a slight slip or mistake, he would certainly look back. Therefore, the people of that time had a ballad: If there is a mistake in the melody, Master Zhou will look back.
Word Grove (Zilin): Commonly written in the variant form wu. It means to be confused or deluded.
