In "Jiyun" (Jiyun), pronounced tā gài qiè, same pronunciation as "tài".
In "Yupian" (Yupian), it is now written as "tài".
In "Shuowen Jiezi" (Shuowen Jiezi), it is explained as meaning "big" and also "smooth and unobstructed". Some forms are abbreviated as "tài", and also written as "dà" or "tài".
In the "Book of Changes (Taigua)" (Yijing, Taigua), there is the sentence "tiāndì jiāo tài".
Additionally, "Shuowen Jiezi" (Shuowen Jiezi) states that "tài" has the meaning of "slippery".
