According to the Corrected Rhymes (Zhengyun), the pronunciation is shí. A type of fish. It is shaped like a bream (fang), and its meat is fatty and delicious. It can be caught in the Jiangdong region during the fourth month. Sometimes it is also written in a variant form. In the Literary Expositor (Erya), section on Fish, another name for it is dānghù.
