Record from History of the Former Han (Qianhan Shu), Biography of Zhu Bo: When Zhu Bo was transferred to serve as the Administrator of Langya, he issued orders to his subordinate officials. At that time, many were wearing loose robes and wide trousers, which did not conform to the regulations. He therefore decreed that from then on, the hems of the garments of all subordinate officials must be three inches off the ground.
