As stated in the River Rhapsody (Jiangfu) by Guo Pu, describing the movements of divine creatures: Moving and swirling in the depths. The commentary notes that this refers to the appearance of swimming or undulating movement. Additionally, pronounced lun (falling tone). Refers to a large toad, shaped like a shoe, which eats snakes. In the Materia Medica (Bencao), it is called the field father, and is also known as lun. Li Shizhen states that the large toad is indeed the field father. Also pronounced li.
