In the Records of the Grand Historian (Shiji), Biography of Sima Xiangru, it appears in the phrase piercing through the inverted reflection of the lightning gap.
In the History of the Former Han (Qianhanshu), it is written as the lightning gap (lieque).
The commentary explains that lightning gap (lieque) refers to the gate of heaven.
