According to the Literary Expositor (Erya), section on domestic animals, it describes a horse with a white patch on its forehead.
The commentary notes that this is what is known today as a star-marked horse. A horse with white hair on its forehead is called a di lu. A horse with a swirl of hair and white hair on the bridge of its nose is considered a sign of ill omen.
