You Collection, Middle Volume Radical: Cowrie (bèi) Character: 贕 Kangxi Stroke Count: 22 Page 1213, Entry 07 From Broad Rhymes (Guangyun) and Collected Rhymes (Jiyun): pronounced du (rising tone). From Jade Chapter (Yupian): The corruption of an egg from within. Also in Master Huainan (Huainanzi): The fetus of a beast does not become 贕. Commentary: A fetus that does not develop into a beast is called 贕. Note: The Correct Character Guide (Zhengzitong) considers this synonymous with the character for a stillborn fetus (du), though this is incorrect. The Jade Chapter originally placed this under the Egg radical, but it is now merged into this section.
