Shuowen Jiezi (Explanation of Simple and Compound Characters): To flee or abscond.
Book of Documents (Shujing), Great Announcement (Da Gao): To attack the fleeing and scattered ministers of the Shang dynasty. Note: Ministers who have fled and are in exile.
Book of Changes (Yijing), Litigation Hexagram (Song Gua): To return and flee from the three hundred households of his own town. Commentary: One cannot succeed in litigation, so one returns and flees.
