In the Biography of Mi Heng from the History of the Later Han (Hou Hanshu): Flying words and eloquent debate, surging energy gathered and welled up. In the Biography of Confucian Scholars from the Book of Tang (Tangshu): Gathered in the capital. Also, pronounced fen. The meaning is the same.
