Pronounced xing. Yingxing describes a vast expanse of water. Another interpretation refers to a state of chaos and confusion. It also refers to mingxing, meaning the primordial energy of nature.
Zhuangzi (Zhuangzi), Chapter on Embodied Virtue: Being at one with the primordial energy of nature, all things grow naturally.
It also carries the meaning of to pull or involve.
Zhang Heng, Rhapsody on Thoughts (Si Fu): Do not let yourself be troubled by the burdens of the secular world.
Commentary: This means do not be restrained by worldly matters and bring sorrow upon yourself.
It is also a surname. During the Five Dynasties period, there was a man named Xing Yinxun.
