In the Biography of Ban Gu from the History of the Later Han (Hou Hanshu), it is written: leaping south of the red boundary.
Note: This means to leap.
Additionally, in the Guangyun, Jiyun, Yunhui, and Zhengyun dictionaries, it is pronounced ti. It describes the appearance of leaping. It is the same as the character for leaping.
In the Book of Odes (Shijing), Shao Nan section, it is written: the grasshoppers leap and jump.
