Zhuangzi, Chapter on Perfect Happiness (Zhuangzi, Zhile pian): Yangxi compares with the long-standing bamboo that produces the green larva. Commentary by Sima says: Yangxi is the name of a plant. Its root resembles a turnip, and it grows alongside the long-standing bamboo that produces the green larva. The green larva is an insect found in bamboo roots.
